Author Larry Benjamin

Bronx-born wordsmith, and award-winning author, Larry Benjamin considers himself less a writer than an artist whose medium is the written word.

His work has been published by Carina Press, a Harlequin imprint, Bold Strokes Books, and Beaten Track Publishing.

His latest novel, "He," was published October 11, 2025.

He lives in Philadelphia with his husband Stanley and their two rescue dogs, Atticus and Gatsby, where he is at work on his next novel.

Unable to find stories about people who looked and loved like me, I started writing the stories I wanted to read. Then I realized I could use my talent and stories to give voice to the voiceless—those we don't usually hear in the gay romance genre which generally centers the white, homonormative narrative. Now I write stories I think people need to read, tales that honor resilience and attempt to show that once we strip away the color of our skin and social status and zero out our bank accounts we are all the same—just humans stumbling through life hoping to love and be loved.
